What is a Patient Participation Group?

The purpose of the group is to develop a closer link between the surgery and its patients. It can help the practice understand what the patients think about the services which are provided and to help to set priorities. It can also help the practice to test out new ideas. What happens is up to the group and the members of the practice who take part.
Could I be part of it?
We would like you to tell us if you would like to take part in the group. We want the group to represent the different kind of people who use the surgery. Young and old, people with chronic illnesses, people who do not speak English as a first language. You might be just the person.
What would taking part mean to me?
You can take part by attending our meetings (the second Wednesday of the month at 7pm).
